RD5 '19: Demons vs Putney (Women's Conference)

Stewart Williams | 21.06.19

Clapham Demons 4.13.37 def. Putney Magpies 1.2.8

The girls are on a winning streak and the premiership run is coming.

The girls have won two in a row and are starting to warm up before finals. It was a 13 goal turn around for the girls against Putney, losing by 10 goals earlier in the year to winning by 3 goals on the weekend.

The girls controlled much of the game again continuing to keep the ball in our forward 50, With G Nat seeming to mark everything that came her way.

The midfield again controlled the game for us supplying the forwards with plenty of opportunities.

Jacqui patrolled well across the half back line taking full advantage of our extra number in the field due to Putney at times only having 17 players.

We welcomed Juicy back from injury for her 1st game of the year, who provided plenty of leadership and intensity around the ball for us.

Overall another great game for the conference girls who appear to building some good momentum leading into the 2nd half of the year.

We will continue to work on our structures, which is starting to come through in our game play.
