DEMONS BEAT THE NORMAL SIZED HUMANS AT PECKHAM!

The Prem Womens trekked out to Peckham to play the South East London Giants, with the Super 3 also joining the convoy, attempting to take two big W's away from the Giants.

The girls had a great day on the park, not allowing the other team to score all day. A credit to the backline, who held firm to intercept most of their efforts. The midfield did a great job roving the footy and creating momentum going forward, and our forward line had good movement and worked well as unit to get the goals.

Unlike previous weeks where we played largely in our forward 50 or half, the Giants did well to play the game over most of the field. They capitalised on some of our taps unfortunately falling to the grass when we could have run on. However it didnt do them any good as our backline didnt allow them into their 50 very often.

Prip was a big piece of that, taking several intercepts to stop the giants movement and using it well the other way, spreading wide a few times. Definitely in the talk for votes.

Another stand out was Jordy our ruck. While mentioned most weeks for winning our taps, this time she stepped it up a notch and roved her own footy a few times, and winning some ground balls. Great to see a ruck get amongst with a few clearing kicks!

Some honourable mentions would be our resident GB, Chloe, who had a good day, capped off by a sausage roll, snap shot at goal from somewhere around 50m. Boy did the crowd of Super 3s love that one!

Another would be Em Kell, kicking 4 goals off her own boot, and presenting well all day.

Great win to take into Wimbledon as we try to trap the hawks again.
