Super 3's vs Ealing Emus

As the masses descended on Clapham Common for the annual Big Freeze on the C, the super 3's were focussing in on their biggest challenge of the season yet! Bolstered by some big inclusions such as Tony White and Allister Skelly confidence levels were high but they knew they had to be on their game.
The return of captain and spiritual leader Hayden Drage bolstered the centre of the park and a typical tough contest early on set the platform for our midfield to get on top early. The dees skipping away to an early lead due to some class from Mulcahy and White with a little bit of assistance from some poor Emus goal kicking. Several momentum shifts and good defensive pressure and we were able to take a handy lead into half time.
An expected resurgence from the Emus just after half time saw great attitude and commitment to the task shown by the boys down back as they weathered a storm of pressure throughout the third quarter. This effort was capitalised on with big RigaTony White slotting one after the siren to leave us in the box seat for final term.
The final term was a clinical performance by the boys, professionally seeing out the game with Harry Pearce getting on the scoreboard due to one of the more cynical free kicks seen in London footy.
Honourable mention to Anthony Mihalj who's exceptional wing performance saw intercept mark after intercept mark turn defence into attach and earn him BOG honours.
Dishonourable mentions go to the whole boat race team for another poor performance resulting in another loss. Time to lift.
In the end:
Wandsworth Demons 6.8.44 (White 4, Mulcahy 1, Pearce 1)
Def.
Ealing Emus 3.3.21
